Chapter Level Events

We are also proud to say that every chapter, including our Alumni, are involved in serving the community. Some of the community service organizations and events that the brothers of Sigma Beta Rho have volunteered their time and resources to include the following:

    • Be The Change (former National Gandhi Day of Service)

Several brothers all across the nation are usually a part of this great day of service that brings all people together to make the change that they wish to see. We have brothers who have been on the national BTC board as Marketing Directors and Flagship-city Coordinators.

    • Binghamton Community Outreach

The brothers of Sigma Beta Rho help the Binghamton University administration in organizing their “Picnic in the Park,” a program created to bridge the gap between the University and the surrounding community.

    • Canned Food and Coat Drives

Brothers have held various canned food drives and coat drives during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. We host various Thanksgiving canned food drives nationwide, making it possible for families to have a dinner they wouldn’t have been able to. Brothers, along with members of the community, also raise canned food for homeless shelters.

    • Hale House

Brothers of Sigma Beta Rho raise money for supplies for the children of the Hale House. Hale House is a center for unfortunate children who are born addicted to drugs.

    • Homeless Shelters and Food Kitchens

Throughout the nation, Brothers at different chapters volunteer to help out and serve food at local homeless shelters and food kitchens.

    • Natural Disaster Relief Efforts

Members of Sigma Beta Rho from across the nation raise thousands of dollars to aid the victims of natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, etc.

    • Blood Drives

Not only do our members donate blood when presented the opportunity, we host blood drives at our chapters and encourage our collegiate community to help make a difference in someone’s life by donating blood.

    • Multiple Sclerosis Walk, Relay for Life, American Cancer Society’s Walk for Breast Cancer

Brothers of Sigma Beta Rho take part in such walks with other organizations and people, to raise money for the respected organizations.

    • Secret Santa

Brothers collect gifts that needy children set up through a local charity request through a wish list. Each brother is designated to be the secret Santa of a child. After buying and wrapping gifts that the children requested, they are delivered to them just in time for Christmas.

    • Senior Citizens Home

Brothers of Sigma Beta Rho recognize the need to care for our elders. We volunteer at local senior citizen homes to help serve food and entertain the senior citizens throughout the day.

    • Toys for Tots

Every year, brothers have collected various toys for children less fortunate and donated them to the Toys for Tots charity. We also run the toys for tots programs at certain locations.
